Melbourne Walking Art Tour

Melbourne Walking Art TourPart of living a creative life is enjoying the art that others produce. I was fortunate to be able to visit Melbourne, Australia in 2006 and again in 2012. Both trips were definitely travel highlights of my life. While hubby worked, I wandered the city on foot taking pictures and relishing the outdoor art that seemed to pop up everywhere.

In a later post, I’ll showcase the aboriginal art that has influenced my own work, but this post is all about the art installations, sculptures, and architecture that Melbourne is home to. I have to admit that I don’t remember all the names of the artworks, and am way too lazy to look them up, so I’ll just show you the pictures and let you enjoy the visual imagery.

  1. Beautiful pictures! I love aboriginal art! My husband’s dad is Australian and he has brought us back some of the most beautiful art pieces whenever he visits there.

  2. Pretty city, our Melbourne 🙂 Love the pics you posted. We moved from Switzerland in 2006 to Melbourne after having been here on vacation in 2002 (hubby more often than that for work). It’s such a great place. Full of hidden gems.
